Last week was a busy week …

… of sewing.

I used most of my “free time” on Tuesday and Thursday to cut and sew several Knitty Bitties orders.

I had four “Bitty Babies Sets” to complete and two totes:

Two birdie sets …

Little girl – long sleeve bitty baby set … loved these reds!

And two monkey sets …

Little girl monkey set … so cute!

A new summer tote for Andrea.

A teacher “thank you” tote for Kelly.
(Several months ago I made a few totes that were to be given as teacher gifts. I thought it was such a great idea I made one for Ethan’s preschool teacher this year. I hope this one is well loved!)

And because I couldn’t have all “work” and no play … a new headband which I love! These pictures aren’t very good, but it’s the same fabric (the scraps) as used on the bottom of the tote above. The flip side (it’s reversible) is a fun orange/green circle fabric. I’m pretty sure I’ve worn it 3-4 days since I made it last week :).

A shot of the back … I covered the elastic since I almost always wear my hair up with a headband.

And Ethan got invited to our old neighbor’s birthday party and I wanted to sew up a little something special for her. I made this twirly skirt and a shirt to match. I loved this and hope that little Alison loved it too. We threw in a “my little pony” too since clothes can seem a little boring for a present :).

I’ve got two summer tops in the works … stay tuned!

Happy Day!

  1. Andrea – You’re too kind. Thanks for all the encouragement you’ve given me. It’s so fun to branch off in new directions and gain new talents (and see others do it too!). Can’t wait to see the Garnet Hill knockoff (:

  2. Amanda says:

Oh my goodness. Too much cuteness in one post!

I love the skirt. Was it easy to make? I have two girls who love skirts.
