More robot inspirataion …

And Simple Modern Baby Quilt Pattern WINNERS!

First, thank you for all the sweet comments. And an extra big thank you to all of you who helped fill my flikr account with lots of new quilt inspiration. Now … if I could only figure out how to make a quilt as easily as buying fabric for the quilt (I’m really good at that part).

Second, I wanted to share a few great Etsy sellers that helped bring my son’s robot room together. After all, without them it would just be a room with a robot quilt.

Vinyl Decals: (L) from Holly and (R) from Stephen Edward Graphics

** Let’s hear it for handmade. Seriously! I love shopping at fellow Etsy shops. One I know I’m supporting someone just like me who loves to create and wants to share their handmade hard work with others. Second, I love being able to put up unique pieces of art in my son’s room on a small budget. I think my total spent for all the vinyl, prints, frames and mats was under $75! **

Robot Artwork from Etsy

{L to R, “E” Robot Print in Green by Jimbot, i heart robot Digital Print by Mengsel Design, Robot Postcards by Crumpet Time Comics}

This is my son’s shelf of treasures :). I added the other two robot postcards to this shelf and plan to hang the mini-rocket quilt (linked below) to it as well.

Projects left to make for the robot room:

  • 2 Accent Pillows …

Pillow 1 – One of the wonderful comments, included a link to an accent pillow made using this center robot panel. I tracked down the seller, Haines, on Etsy and ordered up a set of these ‘Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes’ robot patches. I am SO excited to get these. I have fun plans for me and you (hint, hint).

This is so inspiring for those of us who can only make it to baby blankets and lap quilts!

Wonderful work and a great review! I love the robots and the backing. What a lucky little boy! Here’s my current flickr fave. There are about a million examples of this pattern:
