Some bunny loves you …

Well I left you with a sneak peek at the ‘chocolate bunny’ and since it has been delivered, I can now share it with you.

“Well hello everyone, I’m ‘Baby Binky Bunny‘ … aren’t I sweet? I know, I know … you want to eat me up. But trust me, I’m not made of chocolate and batting does not taste good.”

After hosting the ‘mmmcrafts‘ pattern giveaway in February, I knew I would have to get the bunny pattern … it was just too cute not to. As luck would have it, I had a special little someone who needed a very special gift for her first birthday. My best friend’s daughter (my pseudo-niece) was turning one. So, little Eloise (Ella Roo is one of her nicknames) now has her own baby binky bunny.

You might notice she’s missing her tail. I thought it might be best to hold off on the tail until a little someone is over the ‘everything in the mouth’ stage. Bunny can be sent back to the ‘shop’ when she wants her tail … or needs an arm sewn back on ;).

I used a brown striped linen for the body (nice score from JoAnns), pink flannel for the diaper and tan felt for the belly and face. I love, love, love the color palette of fabrics (inspired by this Flickr picture) … just wait, you’ll see more projects with them :).

AND GUESS WHAT? If you think this little bunny should live at your house, pop on over to the mmmcrafts Etsy store, where Larissa is offering the pattern (and new accessories pattern … hello cute little carrot and bib and booties!!) at 20% off through the day before Easter.

Seriously, I want one in my Easter basket … all the cute, none of the calories.

Happy Creating.

P.S. Giveaway coming Friday … be here or be square :).

  1. And Ella Roo LOVES her new bunny. I wrap it up every night in it’s blankie & put it next to her when she goes to sleep for naps & bedtime. In the morning I come & find the poor baby bunny naked, being drug through the crib by her arm or leg. :) What a special gift – thank you!!! xoxo

  2. Andrea, I love chocolate bunny! If you haven’t added her cuteness to the flickr group, please do. So so adorable! Linen is such a great choice. And good idea about the tail. the binky is also so cute and colorful, great job. NO surprise. And thanks very much for the super nice link to the sale! You are a peach. Have a great day!
(I just glanced at Princess Jessie Pants’ comment, isn’t that a great feeling, bunny maker?)

  3. Absolute cuteness. If my kiddo didn’t hate everything I make for her, I’d definitely be adding this pattern to my collection. So, so sweet.

  4. Hi! I read your post last night and thought this was just about the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. So I ordered the pattern and have nearly finished two of them for my girls as an early easter gift. Thanks for the inspiration!
