My big news …

… in my little sewing world is that I was asked to sew some samples for Robert Kaufman‘s Quilt Market booth.

Yes, I just about had a conniption fit. So very excited.

I got to work with their new “GREEN/ORGANIC” line, Free to Grow , by Mod Green Pod’s designer Nancy Mims (available in June).

I was asked to use two of “Made by Rae’s” patterns, the Itty Bitty Dress and the Lickety Split Bag.

I first made a 0-3month Itty Bitty Dress when I realized they wanted the modified toddler Itty Bitty Dress. So they got two …

{0-3M Itty Bitty Dress}

{3T (Not So) Itty Bitty Dress}

{Lickety Split Bag – I love the pop of turquoise with the ricrac :D}

In addition I also got to create the Shana Bell Sleeve tunic by Sis Boom.

The only catch in all of this was that there was a serious RUSH on making these items. Thankfully my sewing calendar was pretty open last week. I received the fabric on Tuesday morning and had everything made, packaged and sent off to FedEx on Friday afternoon.

I can’t wait to see pictures from the booth … at this point, it’s the closest I’ve got to actually attending.

Come back Monday to join in on Sew Mama Sew’s May Giveaway Day here at Knitty Bitties!

Happy Creating!
