Old Red Barn Quilt Along …

Say what?

Oh, I must be referring to Dana’s latest, Pinwheel Quilt, Quilt-Along.

Uhm, no … I’m referring to that one she started back in May 2009 … you know, the one where you could win a Janome 6600P (otherwise known as “Miss J” in this house). Yes, that one.

Well guess who decided to dig out the quilt and get to work …

Just like with this quilt … I put it off and put it off thinking it would take too much time. Want to know how long it took me to sew my blocks together, sew my backing together, quilt and sew on the binding? About 6 hours. That’s it … when will I learn? Maybe as soon as procrastination isn’t my middle name :).

My incentive to get this quilt done?
Craft night, this Friday, at my little sis’ new house, with some of my favorite mommy friends. It’s more about eating and talking then crafting, but I am hoping to get the binding stitched on while I sit and chat.

And I wanted it done before my birthday, which coincidentally is almost one year to the date I started the quilt.

I’ll be sure to share a picture of it all done … I think I’ll snuggle up under it and take a nap on my birthday :).

Happy Creating!
