New reads …

I love books. Currently I love quick reads and books that fill me with inspiration. My wish list is always growing as I learn about new books that I’d love to add to my collection. I think that my family tends to think that books are a boring gift to give, but I assure them over and over … I love them. Seriously, I’ve mentioned several times that I think the best gift ever might be several of these books wrapped up with some of my favorite fabrics. Wouldn’t that be so fun? Not only would the wrapping be adorable, but so practical … especially if the books are about sewing.

This year people were listening to my pleas … look at all these books I received::

{This one was not quite was I expected, but has been fun reading about traditions and decorating while sprinkled with holiday inspiration, recipes and a few tutorials.}

{This book is plain adorable. I think I have at least 20 of the 26 projects bookmarked to make. So sweet! I also love the way Stash Books set up the projects with an artist bio and information about their shop/blog/website.}

and while not sewing, this one is all about one of my other favorite things to do … bake! Which may also be why I have to run ;).

A few more that are just itching to come home to me are …

How about you? Do you love books? What kinds are on your wish list these days?

I created a little widget in my sidebar where I’ve added these books. I’ll also be adding some of my other favorite creative books in the coming weeks.

Happy Creating!

  1. Great gifts! I was thrilled to find The Party Dress (by Mary Adams) and Style Stitches (by Amy Butler) under the tree on Christmas morning. Books are a gift that keeps on giving. I think I’m going to add a few of yours to my wishlist for next year!

  2. Wow – I didn’t realize you got so many books! And they look adorable! Can I read them on Thursday when we get together w/ Kelly for whatever it is that we’re doing? (If only….)….
