Custom Orders + My Desk Monday + Winner

= a whole lotta random.

These weren’t intended to all be lumped into one post. Nope, I had plans for a couple of good posts. And then life {and the sickies} got in the way.

Phhhtttt. Oh well … let’s go with it …

{Custom Orders}

Did you know I do custom orders? I do, I do. I usually have 1-2/week and I’m currently booked until mid-April. My custom order policy is in the process of changing a bit and I can’t wait to share more with you in the coming weeks. For now, here’s a peek at some recent orders …

Pretty Pinafore Bags::
I just *love* this pattern (from U-Handbag). It’s so much fun to work with and creates such a stunning bag. I’ve made it enough times now that I’ve tweaked it into the perfect ‘Knitty Bitties’ bag. My version has way more pockets (because over an over I hear how ya’ll love your pockets) ;).

Everyday Fresh Tote::
My version of a modern diaper bag. It’s deeper than most of my bags allowing you to fill it with diapers, wipes, extra clothes, blankets, binkies … you know, all the things necessary to take a newborn to Target for the first time, right? ;). So, it too has to be loaded with pockets (12 to be exact) so that new mama feels prepared for every situation.

** If you are interested in a custom order, please see my custom order page at the top. **

{My Desk Monday}

Last Friday I scheduled a ‘personal day’ for myself and me and one of my favorite sewing friends got together for a ‘sewing day.’ I grabbed up my ‘On the Road to Sping‘ quilt pieces (cut many, many, many months ago) and was able to get all my strips sewn up. Now I just need to sew the strips together and we’ll have ourselves a quilt top … hurray!!

Over the weekend I did manage (in between feeling green around the gills) to get some sewing done for my “Spice up the Kitchen Swap” partner. Lucky for me I have one more day that I thought. Sew, I just need to finish up the binding on this table runner and then mail it off tomorrow.

{Winner}

Oh lookie … I also got a mug rug made for the winner of my “Follow Me?” post. I think I am officially addicted to making these ‘mini quilts’ … so much fun. And for those of you wondering what exactly a mug rug was? Well, it’s basically an oversized coaster. Room for your tea or coffee and a little treat too! Or in my case iced tea and a glass of water.

The winner is … #9

  1. Oh, how I love your work! That pretty purple & gray pinafore bag was made for me! : ) I got it in the mail this weekend and I LOVE it! Got it all organized and ready to go yesterday. It is beautiful and so well done! I do love all the pockets! It’s perfect. Thanks, Andrea!

  2. That first bag… yummy, yummy, yum, yum!!

  3. For those of you who haven’t bought a custom item from Andrea, GET YOURSELF ON HER WAITING LIST! Her work is absolutely beautiful and you can see the love in it. The first two purses in this post are purses I had made for my sisters for our special “Sister Day” we made up when we were kids. This year I wanted them to have something extra special and Knitty Bitties was the answer! They turned out to be gorgeous and I’m so grateful! I even ordered matching Oh Snap Wallets to go with them! Thanks again Andrea!! You rock…
