Hello life.

This was not was I ‘planned’ to blog about today. No, today I wanted to show off all my lovely scarves and the story {or pattern} behind each one. I thought today would be a great day to do this because it’s my Mom’s birthday and she made me this beauty …

… but no pictures were taken and no post was written. It will have to happen another day.

I did not ‘plan’ to be sitting here in my PJ’s for the 9th day in a row.

I did plan on being all caught up on orders {nope}, cleaning the house {nope}, doing laundry {this has been my one successful task the last week} and packing for our vacation {nope}.

I remember thinking early last week, when my doctor told me I had the flu, ‘well, this is really going to throw off my plans.’ And I remember feeling stressed out with each day that I didn’t get my to-do list done. I remember feeling like I was out of touch with ‘online’ and therefore my shop and customers.

Today I’m over those plans, ready to make new ones. I’m remembering {and accepting} that this is my business and the whole reason I started it was for freedom, flexibility and fun. I can not make it be everything for everyone … so if things don’t get done as quick as I wanted, my inventory isn’t as high as I’d hoped and I can’t say yes to every custom order. That. is. okay.

I’m looking forward to …

Getting out of my PJ’s … maybe in time for one “WIWW” outfit.

Sneaking in a few days of vacation as soon as I’m better and some “have to-do’s” are checked off.

Getting to work “hoopin’ it up” for my hoop art swap {okay, who am I kidding, this will wait until ze very last moment … but I am thinking about it} …

Enjoying having my little guy home {without sickness} for the next 3 weeks … yea for track break!!

Spending a little time in the sunshine … even if it is just walking.

I’m trying to say hello to life in whatever form it greets me.

  9. hope you feel better soon. sick is no fun! I’m still coughing and blowing my nose every five seconds, but otherwise pretty functional. Though I haven’t moved from the bed since I got home from work. hope you get to enjoy yourself soon.

  10. Sorry you’ve been so sick. That is NO fun at all. Taking a sick day always sounds nice, but then when you have to take one it is miserable. Heres hoping you are back to amazing yourself soon!

    That scarf is a-dor-a-ble!
