Guest Post {burlap+blue}

Hi there, Knitty Bitties readers!

My name is Linda, from burlap+blue, and I was thrilled when Andrea asked me if I would guest post on her blog. I own an etsy shop where I sell vintage-inspired home goods, and I also have a home blog where I post tutorials, home inspiration, Etsy finds, and more.
When Andrea asked me to post about how to update our homes for Spring, I was glad to do it-as I have plenty to say on the subject. I wanted to share a tutorial with you guys that was easy, fast, and undeniably Spring-inspired.
It all started when I found these at Michaels (in the Dollar Section!) the other week…
Not bad, though I knew I could turn them into something better.
First, prime (a must so that the wording doesn’t show through) and paint (I used about 4 coats).
Oh, and while you’re at Michaels, don’t forget to pick up one of these….
Next, take your lovely crocheted doily (not sure when these came back into fashion, but I am so glad they did-I have lots of ideas up my sleeve for them) and cut off three sections. Take your handy dandy hot glue gun and a few minutes later you have these…
Inexpensive, cute, and perfect for flowers, twigs from the yard, or just displayed as is.
Thank you, Andrea, for inviting me over to your lovely blog!
Please feel free to visit me over at burlap+blue for lots more Spring inspiration!
xo, Linda

Thank you Linda!! I love your clean, fresh & romantic style. I’d love to have a little sprinkling of your touch through my home :). Please stop by burlap+blue and leave Linda a little love for sharing her creativity with us.
