SBCC Day 3 {mmmcrafts}

Welcome to Day 3 of creativity.

Oh boy! How do I even begin to introduce my next blogger? Larissa is FUNNY and creative with a heart for God. I knew we were long lost friends just from a quick glance at her sidebar. First, she quoted Gilmore Girls {Lord, somehow send me to live in Stars Hollow}. Second, she had my favorite bible verse {Phil. 4:6-7}. Third, I loved her ‘No OMG’ request. Fate was sealed when I found out that we both held degrees in Graphic Design. Getting to know her more was just icing on the cake!

Here’s a little more about Larissa in her own words::

Hey there, Knitty Bitty-ites! I’m Larissa Holland and I like to make stuff and drink coffee. A lot. You can find a wide variety of craft adventures on my blog, but mostly I’m into sewing of all kinds, felt crafts, and paper cutting. I have a tutorials page where you can find lots of free patterns and how tos as well as printables. I also sell my sewing and paper patterns via my etsy shop.

I’m a graphic designer turned home-schooling mom of two lovely, funny little girls, and I find that being creative helps keep me from going berser–I mean, keeps me ‘centered’. I love to victimize my family and friends with handmade gifts so there is always something that needs to be designed and made. I find constant inspiration in God’s amazing creation, my kooky kids, vintage book illustrations, and of course the craft blogging world.

I’m so happy to be on the Spring Board and have another great excuse to hole up in my craft room and make something. I do love a creative challenge. Thanks, Andrea!

I love the variety of mediums Larissa creates with … paper, felt and fabric. In addition to all the wonderful patterns she offers on her blog, her shop is full of patterns to make one of a kind items like these::

{I made Mikey Monkey for my son for Christmas 2009}

{How perfect would Baby Binky Bunny be in an Easter basket?
I made one for my bestie’s little girl’s 1st Birthday.}

{I think a felt gadget cozy would make wonderful Mother’s Day gift}

Through TODAY, you can save 20% off her entire shop when you enter ‘Happy3rd’ at checkout.

SO … what did Larissa create? Here’s a peek and description …

My project is a two-faced Gramma Wolfie doll that just seemed to leap out of the materials all by itself.
