Spring Quilt Market

Hurray!
Today kicks off the start of the Spring Quilt Market and even though I’m not there in person … I am most definitely there in sewing spirit!

I spent 2 weeks whipping up 19 different samples to help show off the BEAUTIFUL Robert Kaufman fabrics. I’m so lucky to get to work with them!

Here is the first batch of samples I created::

Little girl dresses using the adorable Oliver+S Family Reunion pattern. I will say it again that Liesel writes a mean pattern. They may not be the easiest, but the finished product is worthy of a boutique. So many little touches that create a one of a kind end piece.

The other piece of clothing I created was the Midtown Trench by Indygo Junction.

Onto pillows, pillows and more pillows …

These patchwork pillows {based off of Oh Fransson!’s Rec Room pattern} were SO fun to make. The backing is by Minky and is an incredibly soft ‘shag’ fabric that added such a fun retro look {and made me look like I’d been tarred and feathered}.

Lastly I created custom slipcovers for IKEA chair pads. I am so happy with the way these turned out and would love to offer a tutorial on to make your own. I just need to sweet talk my bestie into bringing over 6 of them for me :). Let me know if this is something you’d like to see and I’ll get to work on it!

Phew … that was the first batch of items I shipped off and sadly, the only set I photographed. I finished the second batch SO close to the wire that there was no time for a photo shoot. But, I have my fingers crossed that some of my friends at Quilt Market will send along photos so I can show you them ‘in action.’
