A {Berry Sweet} Tutorial: Part 1

A few weeks ago when I was working away … I had the forethought to snap a few ‘in process’ photos of a couple of the decorations I made for my niece’s baby shower with the idea that I could share them on here.

I’m not sure that this is worthy of the title, tutorial, but I’m not sure what else to call it … so there you go.

Baby Shower Banner {Mini-Tutorial}

Supplies Needed:
Solid Cardstock {Red, Green & Kraft}
Patterned Paper {Various in Red/Green}
Paper Doilies
String
Adhesive/Stapler

** Extremely helpful and time saving, but not a must, is the Silhouette SD. **

I started with one of the included designs on the Silhouette software (something similar could easily be found online to use as a printable template) for the bracket ‘flag’ and separated the design to create a larger bracket {red/green cardstock} and a smaller bracket {kraft cardstock} which I cut out using the Silhouette. I then cut out the name ‘Everlee’ using different patterned papers.

I layered the three pieces to create each letter of the banner. I then added a folded doily to the back of alternating letters and stapled it in place.

I punched holes in each letter ‘flag’ and ran string through to join them. I then added the finishing touch of a strawberry {more details on Friday} on each end which I also created using my Silhouette.

Such an easy project using the Silhouette, but given a bit of time and patience you could create it on your own too!
