A {Berry Sweet} Baby Shower:: Part 2

Well, I was lucky enough to get to help with another shower for my niece {and oh.so.very.soon.to.arrive great niece} this past weekend.

To keep things simple {and economical} we decided to work around the same ‘theme’ as the last shower and re-use most of the decorations. It was really a win-win and being in a totally different venue at the opposite time of day gave it a feel all its own.

The invitation read:: A backyard affair with sweets to be served. I think it’s a good idea to give full disclosure to your guest that you’re planning an outdoor event when it’s August and likely to be above 90 degrees {I think we hit almost 95}. We planned it for 7PM which might seem a bit late, but it was the weekend and by that hour the shaded backyard was perfect.

A cute little banner & balloons led guest to the backyard. {Now seeing this I would have made a long bunting to go along these dowels … hindsight I tell ya.}

The backyard affair with a beautiful backdrop.

The gift table greeted guests at the back of the yard and led them toward the seating. Do you think this little one is going to be spoiled?!?

The table in the middle gave guests a spot to fill out “Wishes for Baby” cards and a celebrity baby quiz.

The drink station on the patio. We served water {in bottles too under the table}, lemonade & iced tea. My boys picked up the Pepsi crate for me on our recent OR trip. They knew I’d been looking for one.

The food table filled with so many sweets. Fresh fruit kabobs, sugar cookies w/ fresh raspberries, chocolate fondue & mini lemon cupcakes. {I kept a few of the ‘E’ cookies Sweet Sugar Belle made for the last shower and used them for decor this time.}

I made these little pinwheels {on my Silhouette} and think they are oh so cute!

All of the guests. Such a wonderful turn out.

The End.
