{30 days of Thankful}

And just like that … October is over and we’re welcoming November.

I have mixed feelings about November …
On one hand I love it because the cool air and dark evenings cause us to ‘hunker down’ in our warm homes with the ones we love and start all the fun preparations for the upcoming holiday season. I LOVE that. I love the warmth of the oven and the smell of something homemade cooking. I love bundling up when going outside and cozing up on the couch in front of a fire. There is so much I love …

On the other hand, time starts moving REALLY fast. Like November & December seem to go faster than the 10 months before them.

So, again, I’m going to do my best to enjoy each of my days this November. I’m going to start organizing my holiday making & giving lists. Figure out what is most important and not get caught up in the rest. I’m going to grow my already thankful heart into a more thankful heart by documenting a few snippets of what I’m thankful for each day.

Many bloggers joined in on the ’31 days of {blank}’ last month and I had fun reading along with several of them. The timing wasn’t right for me, but as I drove through the leaves today and thought about being thankful for something as simple as them swirling on the ground behind me, I thought this month I want to take time to record a small bit of what I’m thankful for each day.

Today, aside from being thankful for the swirling of leaves on the ground, I was thankful for being able to buy groceries and a Starbucks iced tea without feeling stressed about money. I hope that doesn’t sound snotty or uppity … the reality is there have been plenty of grocery trips that have left me stressed about our budget without any wiggle room for Starbucks. And that may happen again, so today I was thankful.

So there you have it … {30 days of Thankful} … watch for short little posts of thanks or little bits of thanks at the end of my posts all through November. Want to join me?

Oh and that ‘treat’ I mentioned on Monday … well, let’s just say you’ll want to check back tomorrow!
