Shop Update {and gift ideas}

Phew … I just sent out the last of my Etsy orders this morning and am currently all caught up. Do you know how wonderful that feels? I’m going to celebrate by sneaking in a little ‘me’ sewing and get started on some of my handmade gifts.

I just updated the shop with a few items {this will probably be the last shop update before Christmas}::

The ever-popular-so-hard-to-keep-in-stock “Winter Gray Skies” camera strap slipcovers::

A lovely gift or stocking stuffer for the photographer in your life. And what if you know someone getting a DSLR camera for Christmas {they must have been really good this year} … wouldn’t it be fun to give them a little ‘tease’ with one of these slipcovers BEFORE they opened the camera?!? 😉

I know that our days are numbered for coming up with a great Teacher gift. I think one of my mug rug sets {maybe add a coffee card, too?} would be welcomed by any teacher. After all, even if they don’t drink coffee, we know they need a spot for their water or soda {the coffee coat also works on soda cans}. A little mini quilt to brighten up their desk!

Or maybe you’d like to gift them with a “Happy Little” List Taker. I have a couple of those left too::

So … if you have a few more people to check off that list, go peek around the shop while you still can. The shop closes down a week from today!!

** Plus, through Friday {12/9} I’m donating 20% of my sales to Reece’s Rainbow to “Make Christmas Count” for Xander. **

  1. I made a camera strap this year for someone for Christmas, only it was not a slip cover. Have you ever made an entire strap? If so, what is the easiest/best type of connecting things(that is the technical term for those, right?) to put on the ends to clip the strap to the camera? That was the only thing I had to fudge on. Those holes for connecting the straps onto the cameras are soooo thin..
