My Style

If I had to describe my style in three words, I think I would choose comfortable, casual and colorful.

If you look at my “Ideas to Wear” board on Pinterest, it won’t take you long to see a common thread through most of the outfits. Typically a flowy top, a cardigan and some fun punch of color and cute shoes & acessories.

If I look back on a few of my favorite WIWW outfits, you’ll see it again::

** I love me a cardigan sweater … I’m slightly embarrassed by the number of them in my closet.**

My full time job is being a wife and mama. Both afford me the luxury of being at home. So it would be very easy to throw on lounge pants and a t-shirt every single day (and some days I do!) but you’ve heard it before and I’ll tell you again, you do feel better about yourself and tackling the day when you’ve taken the time {and it really doesn’t take much} to put yourself together. Really, you do. Don’t believe me? Why is it that almost every episode of “What Not to Wear” ends with a crying or teary eyed participant who feels like their life has been changed for the better?? It’s not about the clothes people … or the hair … or the makeup. It’s about taking care of ourselves. It’s seeing yourself on the outside as you feel on the inside.

As soon as I power through Snap! and land safely back at home {figuratively speaking as I’ll be driving to Snap! not flying} and take a few days of R&R, I’m going to jump into the much acclaimed book in the bloggy/e-world, The No Brainer Wardrobe by Hayley Morgan of The Tiny Twig {which I recently began sponsoring}. My goal is to give you my thoughts on the book and my wardrobe/style over a few blog posts and then Hayley will be wrapping it all up with a guest post here!

So, as I get ready to pack for Snap! I feel pretty confident in sticking with my tried and true favorite outfits that I’m comfortable in and make me feel like me. The last thing I want to do is worry about trying to be something I’m not!

  1. Adorbs 😉 Like always! I’m jealous that you can *rock* the mustard color, it’s one color that makes me look sea-sick.
Beautiful as always (even in your lounge pants!)

  2. Andrea,

I can hardly wait for this series!! My main occupation is being mother to our 3 teenage sons, and wife to my darling husband but I have very little sense of style when it comes to clothes. I know what I like but it doesn’t work on me… trust me, it doesn’t! 😉

    Have fun at SNAP!

  3. Hopping over from Gussy Sews! Gotta admit I just got some cute style inspiration from your pics. I’m a cardi girl at the office – I hate to be cold!

  4. Beautiful pictures! You look amazing!

  5. I gotta say you always look great! Those pics are great and I sorta just love that photographer (ha, little biased here, don’t ya think!) I agree w/Jessica that you are beautiful!
Wanted to tell you to have a wonderful trip to Snap! Sounds like fun! And you will do wonderful! Hope to hear about it!
