Hello Monday {Happy Mail}

Well Hello Monday!!
You came a bit too fast this time around …
Thanks to a whirl wind 3 days of crazy girl fun … road tripping 8 hours {each way} to Spokane, WA to attend the Farm Chicks Antiques Show … and well, I was too tired to try to put together a blog post yesterday.

I came home to a stack of happy mail though and following my weekend of great antique finds, well I’m feeling like quite the spoiled girl.

Happy mail … which was all packaged SO cute. The thought and effort to add those extra touches DOES influence if I want to buy from a company again.

Bake It Pretty
This sweet little box contained my ‘favorite thing’ for the Favorite Things party I’m co-hosting on Saturday. I can’t share just yet as several of the people going read my blog … this is already probably too big of a ‘hint.’ The inside was filled with bright pink crinkle paper.

Fabric Shoppe
A fun bundle of fabric {Vintage Modern by Bonnie & Camille for Moda} from Jody’s Etsy shop. I love that she ships her fabric nicely folded in a protective sleeve and sealed with her sweet logo/shop name. I have no idea what I’m going to do with this fabric stack, but I love it.

And the hap-hap-happiest of all the happy mail …

Julep Maven
A GOLD box from Julep. Hmmm, I didn’t really even think twice about this box not looking like last month’s black box. It did seem a bit larger and heavier, but this was only my second month subscribing, so I didn’t question it. However when I opened it and saw a slip that said “You’ve won the golden ticket” I was pretty sure I had hit the nail polish lottery. Sure enough … I won all of this month’s beauty ‘styles’ … which equaled 10 polishes, Julep’s new Daylight Defense SPF 30 and the new Daylight Defense SPF 15 Lip Balm. Uhm, yeah. And the packaging … I die {in the words of my Seester and Rachel Zoe} … orange paper bags wrapped with orange grosgrain ribbon on a bed of yellow crinkly paper. The perfect extra touch? Two pixie sticks in red and orange to kick off summer. Love.

I took a photo immediately and put it on Instagram. I got several comments wanting to know more and asking if it was worth it::

The Julep Maven is a monthly subscription. Each month you receive a box with polish{es} and beauty product{s} fitting your ‘style’. From Julep’s site: Commitment shy? No problem. YOU decide how often to receive your Julep Maven box, and you can cancel at any time. I was able to preview this month’s box and change my style {I was originally American Beauty but switched to Boho Chic this month}. I could have also skipped this month, sent it to a friend {what a fun gift!!} OR canceled. Options, people, lots of options.

I have been VERY happy with the quality of both the polish and the beauty products. I am a die hard OPI fan and I think these are as good of quality and ‘better’ for you.

Intrigued? Want to know more? Want to join? Go here and use discount code COLOR2012 to try it out for .01 {including s&h}. Seriously, a fun summer treat for you and your fingers and toes!!

So … Hello Monday, we’ve started this week off quite nicely.
