Another week down … another month down …

If you know me, you know that it’s very hard for me to just ‘relax’ … I always have a list a mile long of things I need to do, should do or want to do … but this past weekend, I was LAZY. I kept telling my husband it was ridiculous the amount of laying around, web surfing, reading and napping I did. I was embarrassed for myself.

The thing is, no one else cared … I put these expectations on myself. Lesson learned {maybe}.

Me and my Little reading on the couch … he loved this. I loved this. I spent way too many days in a row in my beloved Target PJ pants.

We managed to drag ourselves out into the beautiful weather both Sunday and Monday for bike rides. Love my bike even more than a week ago. Next week? She’ll be sporting a basket!

As we cruised along the creek, we noticed a family of three ducklings. I don’t think I’ve ever seen just one duckling. I know just how precious that duckling is to that mama and papa <3.

Our second bike ride landed us at the park … play time for the Little and reading/Vitamin D time. This magazine always motivates me to keep with running.

Like I said, I was motivated this week … Monday I ran 4.4mil {after taking a week off due to my knee strain during my 10K} with my neighbor and felt so good, I decided to go 3.1mil on Tuesday night. Ouch. My knee let me know that was not enough rest time. I ended the month at 43 miles … my goal was 50 … but considering I took a full 7 days off, I’m not going to beat myself up about it.

Oh look, this is a ‘sewing’ blog and not just a running, blah, blah, blah blog ;). A fun project for me, using Sweetwater’sLucy’s Crab Shack” line. LOVE it! I’ll show you the finished project next week.
And ending the week with getting ready for a 3 day girls trip to Farm Chicks. Making my favorite road trip snack … Sweet Chex Mix.

See you on the flip side!

  1. Some days we need to let ourselves relax:)

I need to get a bike in a bad way. I have an itch to ride!

  2. Stopping by from Life Rearranged. I love The Farm Chicks show!! I’m looking forward to bringing home some treasures! Have fun with the girls at the show, hope you find what you love! 😉 and that snack looks amazing!

  3. Good for you for letting yourself relax. Sometimes we all need that. I’m guilty too of going, going, going. Love your bike, reminds me of mine. Where are you getting your basket from? I’ve been looking for one and can’t decide.
    Visiting from Liferearranged. Happy weekend!

  4. I liked your bike and so I stole it! Well not actually, but I ordered the same one online and picked it up today. I felt like a kid riding it today!!
