FWQA {for the Home} Day 1:: Two More Seconds

Happy Monday …
and welcome to the first day of this week long blog collaboration::

Today I’m thrilled to kick off this collaboration and introduce my first blogger. Erin is the creative spirit behind Two More Seconds and one of the master minds behind the EXTREMELY popular {seriously, this is only it’s 2nd year and it sold out in half a day} blogging/sewing conference, Sewing Summit.

I had the pleasure of meeting Erin this past spring at Snap! She is as adorable and sweet in person as her blog reflects.

{Me & Erin at Snap!}

There are so many things I enjoy about Erin and her blog. I was first drawn to her modern and fresh approach to quilting. I love her fun loving attitude that follows her on the web. I have loved watching her follow her passion and create an amazing conference {that I was so hoping to attend this year … but, I was not the early bird and did not get the worm}. Lastly, I was just tickled when Erin started running. In addition to all things sewing … we can now talk compression socks and our love/hate of running.

Here’s a little more about Erin in her own words::

Hi everyone!   I’m Erin from the blog Two More Seconds & also one of the founders of Sewing Summit.  I was so excited when Andrea invited me to be a part of this collaboration – I have looked longingly at the amazing Farmer’s Wife quilts being made lately and have really wanted to join in – but with two young boys, a husband in grad school & planning Sewing Summit,  realistically I knew it wasn’t the right timing for me! The full quilt is a huge project!

A mini-project with just a few of the blocks worked GREAT for me & I love how it turned out.  I decided to make a plastic grocery bag holder because I had received one in a sewing swap a few years ago & I love it.  Mine hangs in my pantry & is a fun, usable item I get to see every day.  If you don’t use plastic grocery bags in your home you can use the holder for rags, reusable napkins or even baby socks!

A big THANK YOU to Erin for joining in on this blog collaboration. With just over a month until The Sewing Summit, the timing wasn’t ideal, but I SO appreciate her jumping in and playing along.
