Quilt Market {1 of 2} & GIVEAWAY

Quilt Market wrapped up yesterday … and while I wasn’t there in person, I was in sewing spirit! I spent quite a bit of time this weekend following along on Instagram. It sure is fun seeing your creations pop up in Instagram, Facebook and other people’s blogs.

I have the pleasure of sewing samples for Robert Kaufman. It’s a great privilege, but it does mean tight turn around times which typically cause me to cut out all ‘extras’ {i.e. blogging, shop updating, cleaning the house, laundry, cooking dinner} to get them cut, sewn and shipped out on time. Today I’m sharing a handful of the samples I sent off to market.

This first batch of samples were displayed at both the L.A. Textile Show and Quilt Market::

Oliver+S Book Report Pattern ~

Suzy’s Dollhouse

Valentia by Valentia Ramos

Oliver+S School Days Jacket Pattern ~

Superhero Slicker

Simplicity Lisette Traveler shirt dress ~

Oxford Yarn Dyed

{I loved this dress pattern, but it was hard to show off without a form. I think it would be adorable with sweater tights and tall boots.}

It’s so fun {and challenging} to create something from a new pattern. I learn something new every time. If you’ve never sewn using a pattern, I encourage you to give it a try. It’s really not as hard as it might seem. Just take your time, read through everything several times and BE PATIENT with the process.

Now … sewing all these samples means I have a lot of fabric scraps left over. I would like to offer them to one of you! Here’s a USPS Medium Flat Rate Box STUFFED full of the tiniest of scraps all the way up to Fat Quarter size scraps. Some of these scraps are from fabric lines that aren’t even available yet!

All I ask is that you pay $12 for the S&H.
