And … I’m back with another Insta-Friday post.
Despite a physically exhausting few weeks where I felt chained to my sewing machine … I did manage to capture several snippets of life {mostly} outside the sewing room.

life rearranged
This gal is making quite a few new pen pals this year. I was thrilled to be one of them. She is such an inspiration!
After Daisy girls most recent bath, I stuck a bow in her hair {corn syrup} … it lasted just about long enough to snap a photo.
This … is what has been keeping me very busy. Lots and lots of fabrics … lots and lots of new patterns. Lots and lots of cutie little clothes being sewn up for Robert Kaufman.
In fact, here is a photo I borrowed from Robert Kaufman’s IG feed. {3} projects completed from that big pile.
And … I’m back. Well I’m hoping I’m back. So far so good.
Almost 2 weeks into training for my first half marathon. In May. I left myself no wiggle room. Shocking.
My Little joined me on one of my runs {on his bike} last weekend. We made a pit stop at the park so he could get in some swinging. As we headed out my iPod battery died and I’m so happy it did. I got to hear all about a new book series he started … all about it.
To help ease my work load, I brought in another assistant. We’re just calling him Brother for now.
Another run. Lots of sunshine this week.
In addition to training for the 1/2, I’m also taking the #50milesinmarch challenge.
A very happy mail day. The sweetest package from a little Sugar n’ Spice {more to come} and the ADORABLE embroidery pattern I ordered from Pam Garrison. Can’t wait to work on that this weekend.
Sneaking in a lunch date with my Sweets. Stress levels have been a little high in our house this week {if mama ain’t happy …} and this was my attempt to let it go for awhile and just hang out. It worked.
Fitting that I end with this … my MOST POPULAR photo this week … my new bookcase. Built by my live in carpenter. This one from World Market was our inspiration. Love it!! I plan to try out Annie Sloan‘s chalk paint as soon as I can track some down. I hope to blog about it and a little master bedroom makeover.
And with that … I need to finish packing my bags for a weekend away with some of the most special gals in my life. No children, no spouses … just 6 girls, a condo, food, crafts, food, games, food, movies, food …
Sounds pretty great, yes?
Happy Weekend to YOU!
