Spread some happy …

I just wanted to share/remind people of a few ways to spread a little happy this week::

Yellow Sunburst on Paper
The Happy  Day Project // Life ReArranged

I’ve loved taking part in this the last couple of years and it conveniently works out with my Little’s track break from school. I often get caught up in giving thanks that I forget to serve others as a way of showing I’m thankful for all I have and hopefully giving someone else something to be thankful for as well. Now, I am much more likely to ‘follow the rules’ … so this years ‘go with the flow’ is making me sweat a bit! I don’t know how many acts we’ll get done this week, but we do hope to sprinkle some happy over the next two weeks by … randomly dropping off something yummy to someone unsuspecting; send a card just because; package up a box of ‘holiday cheer’ for my parents; pay for someone’s order or leave a big tip; give a meal gift card to someone in need; leave random ‘happy rocks’ around town.

This is another ministry we’ve taken part in for several years. Today my Little an I shopped the aisles of my happy place {Target} to fill a box for an older boy. We ended up with:: A new thermal t-shirt, socks, toothbrush/paste, notepad, pens, Lego set, Silly Putty, glow-in-the-dark ball & a slide whistle {I apologize now to the adults in that home}. Last year we signed up to follow our box online, but didn’t receive any confirmation. My fingers are crossed, that we’ll be able to track our box and pray more specifically for “our child.”

I would love to hear about how you are taking time around Thanksgiving to spread a little happy.
