Handmade Holidays {Last Bits}

Hello and Happy Monday on a Tuesday!!

A ‘day off’ with my boys is always welcome, but it does throw the week into fast forward a bit doesn’t it?

I wanted to finish up my “Handmade Holidays” posts last week {with the table runner / satchel posts} BUT business came first. Well okay, a little play came first, but then business … as in book-keeping … as in the thing I start the year off keeping up on but then get l-a-z-y and b-o-r-e-d and just want to make pretty things … not play in Excel. Well … Excel + me had several hot dates last week and ended with a full on spreadsheet bender from 9PM – 3AM Saturday to Sunday. OUCH!! This Sunday School teacher was TIRED come Sunday AM. But man it felt good to be done and my Sunday nap felt even better!

So, here I am with the last bits of handmade from Christmas 2013.

First, these little ‘houses’ which I so quickly fell in love with. I’d had them pinned for years (yes years) and this year, it just worked out.

They are just so cute. Pairing the fabric, adding the tiny little details. There was no way I could just make one … and really, if you’re making one, you might as well make (4).

I don’t like to play favorites, but this home really had my heart.

Each one was given away to someone who I love who makes my heart feel right at home when I’m with them.

This last bit is really a belated birthday present + a little Christmas cheer all wrapped up in one adorable jar.

I picked this lid up some time ago knowing it would make a perfect gift.
Not long after I discovered this most creative and adorable blog via this favorite blog

Amanda & Heather collaborated to create “Party in a Jar” posts … which inspired me to create a “Gift in a Jar” using that great lid as the perfect topper!

Inside I tucked a little of this and that.
All things that made me think of the gift recipient.

Cute, right?
I would LOVE to get a gift like this.

And that my friends concludes my wrap-up {pun intended} of all things handmade holiday for 2013.

Now we can get on with 2014!
