WIWW // Handmade Lane Raglan

As I mentioned in my last WIWW post, I was excited to try out a couple new patterns from Indie Sew‘s Fall Collection.
In fact, I was so excited that on a Friday evening when I should have been doing 20 things other than sewing, I decided to whip up The Lane Raglan (by Hey June) with knits I had leftover from sample sewing.

They would not have been my first pick, but honestly, they sewed up beautifully and the pattern just keep growing on me.
I pieced the pattern, cut out the shirt and SERGED {yes, I did used my serger for the entire shirt} it together in just under an hour and a half. My second one … oh yes, I’ve already made a second, but it was not without some fabric difficulties, so more on that one soon … took about an hour to create.

I cut out a size Medium and after washing it {I did not pre-wash … rebel … don’t worry, it came back to bite me in the you-know-what with my second one} it was a perfect fit. It even fit my extra long monkey arms.

I’m not sure what it is that I love about the shirt so much … the cuffs and waistband, the comfy fit … all of it.

And … because it’s such a basic pattern, there are all sorts of possibilities for easy modification/customization.

I’ve got fabric for two more t-shirts, a sweatshirt & a blouse.
That would put me at (6) versions … I guess I better plan out one more so I can have a week of Lane Raglans!
