Twinkle, Twinkle // Baby “Arthur” Quilt

Despite the lack of activity around here the last couple months … my sewing room has been buzzing with new creations.
I’ve whipped up four quilts for special little ones and I can’t wait to share them with you.

I worked on this quilt at the same time as Baby Charlie’s Quilt.
One of my husband’s childhood friends was expecting his first, much-anticipated & wished for, child. His wife told me they were doing a night sky color palette for the nursery and I immediately thought of the Twinkle, Twinkle pattern. It was the perfect fit for both baby boys.

In Charlie’s quilt, I switched out one of the blues for a red {since his nursery was more of a Americana palette}, but otherwise the same fabrics were used for the stars. I used a pale gray for the background of Arthur’s quilt.

The front is all Kona Cottons, the back is Essex {both by Robert Kaufman} and the binding is old school {but still my favorite polka dot} Full Moon Dot by Amy Butler.

Both baby boys came in the days right before Christmas and both have such classic names … how fitting that they have *almost* matching quilts too!

  1. Lovely quilt! I think it will go great based on the theme of the nursery.

  2. Beautiful!!!

Both quilts are so cute. Treasured heirlooms already.
